Salted treats are quickly becoming one of my favorite indulgences. Whether I’m sprinkling the tops of seasonal summer melon (a Southern tradition) or adding a few Maldon flakes to a chocolate chip cookie, I can’t get enough of that salty-sweet flavor combination. I received this ice-cream maker for my birthday and immediately started dreaming of the tasty possibilities. When I came across this recipe, I knew I had found what would be the equivalent of frozen-treat nirvana. And, OH was I right on the money. The creamy custard laced with decadent, salted caramel was enough to send me and my taste buds into a state of absolute bliss.
