Citrus Sangria

While I love individual cocktails for a refreshing poolside treat, everyone needs a go-to drink they can make in bulk for parties, barbecue’s and other special occasions. This sangria recipe is an entire pitcher’s worth of fun. Switch it up with white or red wine, depending on your preference and be sure to add your favorite, seasonal fruits. We made two pitchers for a 4th of July cookout which were gone almost as quickly as they took to make. Here’s the recipe:

  • 1/3 cup lemon juice
  • 1 can frozen lemonade concentrate
  • 1/3 cup orange juice
  • 1 large (1,500 milliliter) bottle dry red wine
  • 1/2 cup orange liqueur
  • 1 lemon, sliced into rounds
  • 1 orange, sliced into rounds
  • 1 lime, sliced into rounds
  • 2 cups carbonated water (optional)

Mix all ingredients together in a large pitcher, leaving out the carbonated water. Let sit for 4 hours or overnight. Add carbonated water before serving.
