Sally Lunn Bread

If you’ve never made homemade bread before, I encourage you to give it a try. I chose to make this Sally Lunn bread for a few reasons: it was significantly less of a time commitment than most other recipes, there was no kneading involved so clean-up was much easier and the bread itself is more cake-like and tastes like a dessert. Yes. Winner.

When I found the recipe I debated on whether or not to make the honeyed brown butter to go along with it… which lasted for about a millisecond. Girl, are you crazy? Of course you’re making the honeyed brown butter! And OH MY GOSH… It doesn’t get much better than this, folks. The salty, sweet spread brought out the best flavors in the bread without overpowering it. Perfect for a dreary morning with coffee or an after-dinner treat.
