As a fashion admirer with a sense of style that can only be described as sometimes girlie, sometimes casual and always budget-friendly, I find myself drawn to an array of different styles that I desire to emulate. This particular Breton style is a bit more unstructured than its nautical, New England counterpart. After reading a post by Who What Wear I discovered that the stripes in this look originated in Brittany, a French province on the peninsula between the English Channel and the Bay of Biscay, which explains its nautical affiliation. For me, the look reminds me of the classic and chic Coco Chanel and has me dreaming of the peaceful French seaside, cobbled streets, markets and a large cup of hot, French coffee.
